Clouds get thick tonight and light rain moves in before sunrise. Lows will be around 60 with a light southeast wind.
We get rain tomorrow and thunderstorms too. On average we'll see between 1" and 2" of rain by late tomorrow night. As always some communities will get more than that while others get less. Even with the clouds and wet weather our temperatures continue right where they left off to end January- above average. Highs tomorrow will be in the upper 60s to near 70.
Tomorrow night is damp and mild. Lows will hover in the middle 50s with showers tapering. Dry air will try to move in from the north on Thursday. Inland counties are more likely to see a mix of sun and clouds while clouds may linger along the coast with only a small rain chance. Highs Thursday are back into the lower 70s. After Thursday the forecast gets cloudier. Figuratively and literally.
Rain chances increase Friday afternoon into Saturday to at least 30%. It's not a storm system or a continuous rain but expect showers as a cold front approaches. It's too early to tell exactly when the front will move through or how strong it will be but the best outlook right now puts us back in the 60s for what may be a wet weekend.
