News 5 Weather App

»  Comments | Post a Comment

Living along the Gulf Coast we all know that severe weather can come at a moments notice.

And of course, here at News 5, we want to keep you up to date with weather alerts while you are on the go.

The News 5 weather app for iPhone and Android smartphones is an app you can use pretty much anywhere.

The app lets you view the local radar, zooming into cities and zooming out for a wide shot of the United States.

It gives you an extended 10 day forecast for your area, and breaks it down to an hourly forecast. It also shows you any current alerts that are actively in place.

You can also sign up for text alerts. To do that just head over to wkrg.com. Under the services tab click on text alerts and follow the prompts to sign up.

Just a few ways to stay ahead of the storm so you won't be caught off guard.
