Some partial sunshine is expected in our News 5 Forecast as we start off the new workweek. Highs will be seasonably mild for this time of year, with readings in the 60s most afternoons. Morning lows won’t get any cooler than the 40s each morning. No big temperature swings are expected for this week.
With the last system exiting the scene over the weekend, we are prepped for several days of generally fair weather. Clouds mix with sunshine through Wednesday.
An upper air disturbance tries to get going later in the week, and introduces a small but significant chance of rain into the forecast for Thursday through Saturday. This is something we will have to watch as we are in Mardi Gras parade season. Right now, odds are 1 in 5 or 20% for shower activity to come your way on Thursday and Friday, and a little higher - 30% for Saturday through early Sunday.
