Some residents on Dauphin Island's west end are voluntarily evacuating.
Residents tell News 5 water washed over the west end of the island last night. Some areas are still under water as of 10:30 a.m.
News 5's Blake Brown, who headed down to Dauphin Island this morning, says water was washing onto Hwy 193 in Alabama Port. Blake says the winds are strong and the surf is very rough.
