Anchor at WKRG
Devon Walsh wakes up early to anchor WKRG News Five This Morning from 5-7AM with Bill Riales and John Nodar. She also anchors News Five at noon. Devon is thrilled to be back at the station where she got her start. Devon got her first taste of the news business as a teenage intern at WKRG. After graduating from the McGill-Toolen Catholic High School and The University of Notre Dame, she started as an assignment editor/reporter at WKRG, and later anchored the evening news with Mel Showers. She then spent six years anchoring at top-rated, Fox 6 WBRC before returning to Mobile in 2008. She was honored by the Associated Press as "Alabama's Best News Anchor" in 2010 and the Alabama State Medical Association for her 2007 Fox 6 Family Health segments. Devon and her husband are excited to raise their son, Sam, and newborn daughter, Janie, surrounded by family here along the Gulf Coast.
