David Freese was one of the best hitters in USA history and he backed it up as a pro in the 2011 World Series, winning MVP honors as the Cardinals won the title. Freese and other famous Jaguar players got together Tuesday night at the First Pitch banquet to kick off the Mark Calvi era. Calvi took over the program when Steve Kittrell retired last season. The 2012 Jaguars open the season Feb. 17th at home against the College of Charleston.
