- Auburn tailback Brad Lester has returned to
practice but his status remains uncertain for Saturday's game with
No. 6 LSU.
Lester was held out of contact drills in Tuesday's practice for
10th-ranked Auburn with a sprained neck sustained against
Mississippi State.
Coach Tommy Tuberville said Lester has a long way to go before
Thursday's practice and has to be able to have contact before he's
allowed to play.
Tuberville said MRIs have found no damage, and that a Birmingham
neurosurgeon left it up to Lester whether he plays or not.
Lester is Auburn's No. 2 rusher with 148 yards but has started
the first three games.
