Naughtia Langham had 16 points and eleven rebounds to lead Hazlewood to a 70-to-46 victory over Notasulga in the Class one-A girls semifinals today. Hazlewood (29-and-6), plays McIntosh, a 64-to-45 winner over Spring Garden, Friday at four p-m. Amber Jones, who missed last season due to a knee injury but came back to win regional M-V-P honors this year, added 14 points for Hazlewood. The Golden Bears got ahead early, dominating the first quarter 21-to-6. Notasulga (21-and-8) was led by Fredericka Nettles, who had 18 points. Jasmine Drake had 12 points and eleven rebounds, while Natasha Williams added eleven points and Brandy Harris snagged ten rebounds. Hazlewood shot 34-point-nine percent from the floor to Notasulga's 34-point-seven percent, and Notasulga outrebounded Hazlewood 53-to-52. In the second game, Kimberly Davis led McIntosh (26-and-0) with 32 points and seven rebounds. Alexis Broussard added 18 points and grabbed 13 rebounds. Spring Garden (26-and-7) got 21 points and ten rebounds from Bridget Parris. Nicole Ledbetter got ten rebounds, but Spring Garden made just 16 of 53 shots.
