DeAndre Rice scored 23 points in Florida Atlantic's 79-to-69 win over South Alabama tonight. Florida Atlantic ended the first half with a 35-to-22 lead. South Alabama outscored Florida Atlantic in the second half, but not by enough for a victory. Besides scoring 21 points for Florida Atlantic, Carlos Monroe grabbed 15 rebounds. Derrick Simmons scored another 16 points for the team. South Alabama's leading scorer was Daon Merritt with 16 points. Ernest Little scored 10.
