Former Auburn star, Kenny Irons was expected to back up Rudi Johnson for the 2007 season. But Thursday night, the 2nd round draft pick tore the anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee vs Detroit in Cincinnati's 1st preseason contest. He'll require surgery, but the team expects Irons to make a full recovery and resume his playing career next season.
