Many local hotels report good occupancy numbers for the Mardi Gras season.
Some people come to Fat Tuesday and then go straight home. Others get rooms and hang out. This is a big week for hotel bookings.
Today I’m doing work from the Holiday Inn Downtown and it’s bustling with activity. We get to watch the folks get ready for parade watching.

The unofficial “start to summer” continues to be a hot one this Memorial Day weekend. Bright sunshine will warm temperatures into the low and middle 90s during the afternoon. There’s only a 10% chance of a passing shower or thunderstorm, so 9 out of 10 of us stay dry.
