Oil has invaded an Alabama estuary on the east side of St. Andrew’s Bay on the Fort Morgan peninsula.

Greg Miller, who owns 250 acres of which half is wetlands and estuaries, discovered the oil Thursday morning while checking his property.

The brown sludge congregated at the edge of some marsh grass lining the sloughs.

Miller tells News Five he called BP’s oil spill response line, but as of late Thursday afternoon he had not heard back from the oil company.
