The head of BP's claims process says they are working to streamline the system to get people money faster. Chief claims officer Darryl Willis was in Pensacola today, 6/6/10, visiting the recently opened office there. Willis says the company has paid out $48-million in claims to date. We're told many people can get checks in a matter of days. Willis says they want to make the claims process faster for all gulf coast states including Alabama.
“We've paid out a total of 3,400 claims and that's been to the tune of just over $7 million,” says Willis.
