If you thought traffic was a pain to get into Downtown Mobile for Fat Tuesday, you may want to step into Carmen Ortega’s and Andy Poan Chen’s shoes!
They traveled a combined 12,000 miles to celebrate Mobile’s Mardi Gras.
Carmen is from Argentina, where it's summer!
"In Argentina now, it's 40 degrees, Celsius.”
Carmen is on summer break, visiting her Grandma.
Andy Poan Chen is an exchange student from Taiwan. He's finishing his Senior year at McGill-Toolen Catholic High School.
Andy says in Taiwan, they throw things, but not this much!
“I just tell my family they throw a lot of beads and all kinds of food here."
Andy is in town until June, but Carmen has to head back to Argentina to start school in March.
