A 16 year old suspected gunman will be charged as an adult in a shooting that happened as the final parade of Mardi Gras rolled just a few blocks away.
Samuel Anderson was arrested early Wednesday morning at the University of South Alabama Medical Center. Investigators say the suspect was not hurt, and police do not know why he was at the same hospital where the victim was being treated.
Anderson is accused of shooting another teenager in a McDonald's parking lot at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Government Boulevard.
More than 160,000 people filled the streets of Downtown Mobile during the Fat Tuesday celebrations. No one else was injured in the shooting.
