The festivities started early in Bay Minette. The annual Mardi Gras Fest wrapped up its second day of celebration. The event was full of art and different displays. This is the first year it was run as a fundraiser by the Bay Minette Civic Club. Organizers say the Mystic Revelers didn't have enough members to do the festival on top of their annual parade and ball. Like a lot of Mardi Gras events this year, the two day festival was also adversely affected by the weather. Organizers say snow Friday hurt attendance. They were optimistic things would be better today.
