Another Concert Series Coming to the Coast

Southern gospel groups from across the country are headed to Orange Beach this winter. After a summer of free concerts on the beach, Romar Beach Baptist Church pastor, Paul Smith thought something was missing, gospel music.

He headed to Louisville, Kentucky in the fall to first, see if there was any interest and second, to get as many gospel groups and singers to visit Orange Beach for a weekend concert series. "I went to the national quartet convention in September on a crusade," says Smith. "I was overwhelmed by the response."

Artists like Danny Funderburk, Squire Parsons, The Glorymen and The Dove Brothers have all signed up for the concert series that begins Firday, December 10th and is scheduled to run through April.

Tickets are priced at ten and twenty dollars and will be held at the Wharf Conference Center on Friday and Saturday nights.
