Naval Air Station Pensacola has one of the longest traditions for flight training in the US Navy. All around the Naval Aviation Museum you can see some of that history. NAS Pensacola was founded in 1914 and was the first aviation training grounds for the Navy. Its busiest time was during World War II. They trained 2,500 pilots a month during the 1940's. When naval aviation celebrates its 100th anniversary, officials here say the biggest celebrations will be in Pensacola. To see more of the base and its history check out our next Hometown Tour live broadcast tonight at 6pm.
