When severe weather rolls in to Pensacola, officials on base have to be ready. Officials at NAS Pensacola's Emergency Management Operations say Ida was a good drill for them. The ops center monitors weather conditions and how they might affect the base. Emergency Manager Bert Fenters says they have a lot of personnel and aircraft to be mindful of when a storm hits.
