There are so many missions within Sector Mobile; I’d be remiss if I tried to list them all here. For now, I will tell you what you will see on Thursday’s Hometown Tour. I go up in the air with the Aviation Training Center. This is where all US Coast Guard pilots get their training. I’ll also have a look at the main workings at Sector Mobile.

Here’s an interesting fact: within in the next three years all buoys in the Gulf of Mexico and half of the eastern seaboard will be repaired at Sector Mobile. I’ll also have a look at what life is like for some Coast Guard families, where moving across the country comes every few years. That’s all coming up Thursday evening at 6 pm for our next Hometown Tour.
