Dauphin Island Kicks Off Mardi Gras Season

DAUPHIN ISLAND, ALABAMA --

Thousands of people packed Bienville Boulevard on Dauphin Island Saturday afternoon for Mobile County's first mardi gras parade of the 2012 season.

Krewe De La Dauphine rolled through the streets of Dauphin Island at 1pm, throwing moonpies and beads.

The Island Mystics will roll next weekend, Saturday, January 28 at 1pm.
