A Mississippi man has been charged with abuse and his 18-month-old child is in critical condition at USA Medical Center. Jackson County, MS investigators arrested Matthew Warren Baria after responding to a call Thursday at a home on Carters Road.
Authorities say the child had a severe head injury and was flown to USA Medical Center in Mobile. The child remains in critical condition. The mother of the child was not home at the time of the arrest.
