Romney has been pulling away from the rest of the pack in the Florida polls, and you could feel the enthusiasm this morning during Romney's visit to The Fish House in 'The City of Five Flags'. "I will fight will all of my energy to keep America the strong nation it's been and the hope of the earth, and the shining city on the hill," said Mitt Romney at the campaign rally Saturday morning. It was an exciting morning for hundreds in Pensacola, who got a chance to meet Mitt Romney, their top choice for the next President of the United States. We're closing in on Florida's primary vote January 31, and big names are using their public influence to endorse their favorite candidate for the Republican nomination. "Why Mitt Romney? Because this country needs saving, and he's the fellow who can do it," said actor Jon Voight, who was at the rally. "Governor Romney is a man of faith, honor, love, and truth. These are the first and very important qualities a President must have." Arizona Senator John McCain was also by Romney's side, as Saturday's rally focused on veterans. "Senator you've been through this before, what kind of advice are you giving the Governor?" I asked. "None. He's doing fine. He won the debates very handily, we've got the momentum on our side, but we're obviously now in the get out the vote phase. but he's doing a great job," answered Senator McCain. Romney focused mainly on President Obama's time in The White House, but as has been common throughout the campaign, the former Massachusetts Governor did criticize the former Speaker of the House. The crowd cheered when he mentioned capping government spending and balancing the federal budget. Those are promises many believe will win him the Sunshine State. "Oh, I definitely think Mitt Romney has a fighting chance," said Billy Bova, possibly one of the only Democrats in the crowd. "I predict he'll win the Florida primary on Tuesday." "There seems to be a more energetic desire," said Pensacola resident Taris Savell. "I think the worry, the concern, the state in which we are finding ourselves has spurred people on to become more involved than ever before." If Romney wins Tuesday's vote in Florida, experts say that could seal his spot to take on President Obama in the November 6 elections. The latest polls show the former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney with a nine-point lead over Newt Gingrich, followed by Ron Paul and Rick Santorum.
