SEMMES, Alabama --

A woman from citronelle is killed by a garbage truck.

State troopers say 35-year-old Jennifer Harris of Citronelle was driving on Howells Ferry Road about 6:30 a.m. when she crossed the center line about five miles east of Semmes. Her 2007 Nissan Maxima hit a garbage truck.

Harris was later pronounced dead at Providence Hospital.
