Burglars hit LeFlore High School and Bishop State over the weekend. Damage is extensive at both schools. Authorities are still trying to determine what was taken at LeFlore High School. We know there is damage in the media room and the library.
At Bishop State, thieves targeted the Southwest Campus on Dauphin Island Parkway. Copper was taken from nine commercial AC units, used primarily to train AC and Refrigeration students, according to Herb Jordan, spokesperson for the school. Four tires to a state vehicle were also taken by the thieves.
The theft occurred between 10 pm Friday and 6 am Monday. It is being investigated by Bishop State Police Department.
So far, there are no leads.
