PENSACOLA, Florida --

Southwest Airlines has announced it will fly out of Pensacola International airport.  Mayor Ashton Hayward called the announcement a major victory for the community, and a tribute to the hard work of his administration and the Airport staff.

AirTran currently comprises about 15% of the traffic in Pensacola now.
