Authorities say more than 20 students were taken to hospitals Friday morning after a school bus overturned in the southeast Alabama town of Goshen.
Bazzell said the bus "was packed" with more than 40 students of all ages headed toward Goshen Elementary and Goshen High School.
Bazzell said 21 students were being taken by ambulance to hospitals in Luverne and Troy, and another group was being taken on a school bus to the hospitals to be checked out.
Pike County Schools Superintendent Dr. Mark Bazzell tells the Troy Messenger the injuries do not appear to be life-threatening. Bazzell said he was at the scene of the wreck, which happened around 7:15 a.m. Friday on a county road.
