33 year old Dale Johnson was rushed to USA Medical Center Thursday after military ammunition exploded.
Several agencies, including military personnel, arrived at Johnson's home in Gulfport to detonate a substantial amount of munition was found on his property.
After evacuating a 2-mile radius, about two dozen homes, the munitions were detonated around 3:30am Friday by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Residents returned to their homes near Three Rivers Road in Gulfport early Friday morning.
At last check Johnson remained in critical condition.
