Rooster Worries

For folks in Ocean Springs not any cock will doodle-do.
 
Carl, a Rhode Island Red that has his own Facebook following, is the one in demand and he is missing.
 
Carl's friends are worried since the roster has not been seen lately around Leo's or Government Street Grocery.
 
He's the top cock among several roosters that run loose downtown but is the best known - the one with a reputation for ruling the roost and being a little aggressive.
 
According to the Sun Herald (http://bit.ly/xbM8Kw ) Animal Control Officer Alvin Flowers has been keeping an eye out for Carl and said he thought he saw him Friday morning.
 
The city is a bird sanctuary since the 1980s, and the mayor considers the downtown roosters wild and protected.
