Austal USA COO Joe Rella says it's business as usual for his company, despite Thursday's announcement on defense cuts.
Rella tells News 5 that Austal will continue fulfilling navy contracts until exact cuts are annonuced.
The company is currently fulfilling contracts for 10 littoral combat ships and 10 high speed vessels.
Austal USA is looking ahead to the future and plans to double the workforce over the next 18 months.
