At 11:45pm Saturday night two cars collided near Fifth Street and Canal Road in Gulf Shores.
A car, driven by George Willis, was upside down next to the canal, after running off an embankment.
Willis was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gulf Shores police were continuing their investigation as of early Sunday evening.
At this time they are not saying whether or not alcohol played a role in the crash.
