Deputy Arrested On Pensacola Beach

An Escambia County Sheriff’s Deputy was arrested Sunday evening after an incident he was involved in on Pensacola Beach. According to an Escambia County Sheriff’s Office arrest report, Christopher Allen Trusler, 32, began to cause a disturbance inside of Capt. Fun’s Beach Bar with several patrons and employees.

Deputies were called and escorted Trusler out of the bar. Trusler continued to cause a disturbance as deputies were on scene. After conducting their investigation,Trusler was placed under arrest. Trusler was charged with Assault on a law Enforcement Officer, Trespassing, Resisting Arrest Without Violence and Disorderly Intoxication. Trusler was booked in the Escambia County Jail under a $2,000.00 bond Trusler has been a patrol deputy for approximately eight months.

Trusler’s employment was in a probationary status and he was subsequently terminated due to his arrest.
