Spring Break is less than a month away- will vacationers see clean beaches or ones covered in tar balls?

Most public beaches in Baldwin County are in good shape, but a few areas on the Ft. Morgan pennisula are still seeing tar balls wash ashore.

We walked a mile along the beach near the fort and found a few small tar balls...but when spot-checking seven miles of beach closer to the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge, we noticed significant tar balls in the sand.

We only saw one, five-man clean-up crew covering more than 10 miles of beaches Thursday.

According to B-P, there are about 100 beach clean-up workers in Baldwin County. Baldwin County has 32 miles of Gulf beaches.
