Police Officer And Another Driver Injured In Wreck

A Mobile police officer is injured in a wreck while responding to a call for backup.

Police say the officer was headed north on Catherine Street with his light and siren on. He was on his way to help officers who were chasing a burglary suspect on foot. A woman, headed west on Springhill Avenue t-boned the officer's patrol car around 12 noon at the intersection of Catherine/Springhill.

Both the officer and the other driver were trsnported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
