The family of an accused cop killer is asking how this all happened. They say Lawrence Wallace was good kid.
His step-father, Charlie Harden, says he is still trying to find words to describe Friday’s events. Harden says Wallace had a job, a daughter, and even graduated from Bishop State Community College. He says there was no sign that Wallace would be capable of murder.
“His mother was very diligent in raising him up and sending him to school and taking care of him. Where do you find words to express such a decision making process,” said Harden.
The necklace that belonged to Wallace, the suspected murder weapon, may have been self-crafted. Harden says Wallace learned to make jewelry while at Bishop State Community College.
