Officer Green coached for over 18 years at Sullivan Park in Mobile.
Coaches, and a former player, say they will always remember the officer as a coach.
He taught youth football at the park, but gave up coaching a few years ago and joined the Mobile Police Department.
Several youth associations across Mobile will be collecting donations for the Green Family this week. You can make a donation at 48 North Sage Avenue from 8am-5pm this week. By Thursday, coaches hope to present the contributions to Green's wife.
