New Drink Coaster Detects Drugs

Date Rape Coaster

»  Comments | Post a Comment

University of South Alabama Police handed out over 500 coasters Thursday to students on campus.

The coasters are designed to detect date rape drugs in beverages students consume.

The student is asked to use the coaster when at a party or in a bar. You take a drop of the drink and put it on the test strip. If the test strip turns dark blue, the drink is contaminated.

The free coasters can be picked up at the campus police department.
