The Alabama Agribusiness Council is asking farmers to complete an online survey to see if the state's immigration law has affected a wide-spread group of people.
The online survey asks farmers if they've experienced labor shortages because of the law or anticipate work problems.
Many farmers have reported losing migrant workers - and unable to replace them with American workers - after the law went into effect.
The A-A-C would like farmers to complete the online survey by Feb. 13th. Results of the survey will be discussed with Governor Robert Bentley, Attorney General Luther Strange and lawmakers.
Lawmakers could make minors changes to the immigration law next week, when they meet in Montgomery for the 2012 legislative session.
