Chickasaw police found the little boy at a classmate's house about a mile from the school.
Police say it started with a mix-up at the school. The child was supposed to be picked up at the school by his mother but the child was accidentally put with the children who walk home and was escorted off campus. Police say the child turned around, headed back to the school and rode the bus home with a classmate. He was found at a friend's house on Circle drive. Police say at no time was he in any danger.

Police in Chickasaw and Prichard are looking for a missing five year old boy.
The boy disappeared on his way home from Hamilton Elementary School.
Police do not have much of a description other than the boy is African American. He's wearing a blue polo shirt and blue pants with a black backpack. The backpack has a skull and roses on it.
Police are searching the the area around Alabama Village for the missing 5 year old. Police say Hamilton Elementary teachers are helping in the search.
