The Robertsdale Police Explorers Unit has a new "toy" they'll use when the Baldwin County Fair opens next week.
With the help of several fundraisers, the Explorers bought a new, tricked-out police golf cart. The golf cart is equipped with lights and sirens and will help the kids respond to situations quickly.
Normally, the golf cart would cost about eight-thousand dollars, but it cost the unit nothing thanks to their hard work and effort.
The new police golf cart will be used in local parades and rodeos and other city events.
Police Explorers are young men and women interested in pursuing law enforcement careers. Robertsdale has 14 Explorers.
