In remembrance of 9-11, some Saraland High School students are taking time today to honor first responders in Mobile County. Members of the National Honors Society stopped by local fire houses to say thank-you and give treats. This is part of a day of service to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the 9-11 attacks. Many of these students were just seven years old when the attacks happened. They say it's their chance to give back.
“So many people lost their lives 10 years tomorrow and we just wanted to thank all the firemen who not only sacrificed their lives that day but also sacrifice their lives everyday in our community,” says Saraland High School Student Stephanie Moye. The students also collected supplies for local veterans.
