Recovery crews will be back on the job Friday searching for a teenager from Hoover missing in the Gulf, and presumed drowned.
16 year old Conrad Hathcoat got caught in a rip current, and pulled into the Gulf during Tropical Storm Lee.
There were four boats and two cadaver dogs searching Thursday.
Matt Barton with the North Baldwin Sheriff's Office said, "We're using the sidetracking sonars. We have two or three boats with that, and then, we brought out the dogs with Southwest Panhandle Search and Rescue, at the request of the Coast Guard, and, using air scenting over water, to see if there's any kind of sign."
Jen Morgan with the rescue group said, "A lot of people think they (the dogs) lose scent when they get in the water, but its just the opposite. It'll make the scent stronger for the dogs, so, they do really well in the water."
Barton said, "We had three divers down here with our dive gear, so, if there was a need to dive, on something that we could have executed an operation to dive. We didn't find any clues tonight, unfortunately."
Recovery teams said the search will resume Friday afternoon around 3:00.
Deputy Gulf Shores Fire Chief Keith Martin said, "It's stressful for us, because we're not able to help the family, and the family is suffering stress because they've lost a loved one, and, they know where the loved one is, but we're not able to bring him to them, but we're going to bring him to them."
