Saraland Police arrested Amber Nicole Lazzell after they found burns on her 4-year-old child. Investigators say she has been making meth.
Officers responded to a call to check on the welfare of Lazzell's son on Sunday. Once inside, officers noticed burns on the inside of the child's thighs and lower leg. His mother told police he had been burned by a common household chemical.
Investigators say officers went on to discover meth in the home, plastic bags with meth inside, digital scales and glass smoking devices with burned residue. They also found 18 pseudoephedrine pills.
The child was taken to a hospital for treatment, and DHR was notified.
Lazzell is arrested and charged with checmical endangerment of a child, unlawful possession, distribution and manufacturing of a controlled substance.
