There's a sea of red, white and blue in one part of Mobile County.
Shiloh Baptist Church in Saraland has created a September 11th tribute.
Church members are putting up 2,977 small American flags for each person who died in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.
Pastor Robert Lutz said, "We got the idea from seeing other churches in other states do something similar to this, and we wanted to do something special in our community for the 911 service for the people that died on that day."
The flags are spaced six feet apart in special sections.
411 flags are marked with a special black label to remember the first responders who died on 9-11.
Lutz said, "We are wanting people to see that, through any tragedy, especially something of national significance like this, that there is hope, and that hope is found in Jesus Christ. And that, through God, you can have all the hope in the world, no matter what circumstances you face."
Raleigh Hawkins is among those putting up flags.
She was only 2 years old when the attacks happened, but studied the tragedy in school.
Hawkins said, "I know that, two planes, a plane, ran into the World Trade Center and knocked the twin towers down, and that one went into the Pentagon, and one crashed in Pennsylvania, and they were all hijacked, and, that a ton of people died in them."
Church leaders say they hope to have all the flags up by Thursday at noon.
