This is an update to a story News 5 first told you about last week.
7 dogs were found poisoned, or mutilated in some cases, near the Woodland Court area of Citronelle.
On Thursday the Mobile County Sheriffs Department began assisting Citronelle Police, now the investigation is focusing on Calvert.
Two dogs were found decapitated on Calvert School Street in Calvert two weeks ago, but the owners didn't come forward because they thought it was an isolated attack. After seeing our stories in Citronelle the owners decided to contact authorities. Authorities believe these crimes match the description of the recent attacks in Citronelle. Citronelle Police Chief Shane Stringer says he believes the same person is responsible.
The investigation is ongoing and people are asked to report any information to authorities. A $1000 reward is being offered for any information that may lead to an arrest.
