Black Friday A Bust For Many Small Business Owners

Businesses In Small Towns Have A Disappointing Black Friday

"Mom and Pop" shops have a hard time competing with retail giants on Black Friday.

Black Friday was a "bust" for many small business owners in Atmore and Bay Minette.

"Mom and Pop" shops are having a hard time competing with the big city retail giants- and the Black Friday specials they offer.

But small business owners say they do have one big advantage over the big box stores- exceptional customer service.

Small business owners could make a profit this weekend, however. Tomorrow is "Small Business Saturday"- a shopping holiday created last year to help promote small businesses unable to compete with Black Friday "doorbusters" and internet discounts and specials.
