The Stars Continue to Fall on Alabama for a special Memorial Day Tribute to Our Troops as Four Time NASCAR Camping World Series Champion Ron Hornaday filed an entry for the Miller Lite 100 at Mobile International Speedway a Rick Crawford Performance Track. “I’m looking forward to coming to Mobile to support Rick and our Saturday night racers. The grassroots racers and fans are what it’s all about,” said Hornaday. “I hope that by racing in Mobile it will help some young driver get an opportunity like Dale Earnhardt Sr. gave me. Plus I really like short track racing and Mobile has one of the fastest short tracks in the country.” Hornaday joins an impressive field of drivers including his Truck Series teammate and Mobile native Cale Gale, fellow NASCAR Drivers, Johanna Long (her Dad, Donald will be racing also), Jeff Fultz and Mike Garvey, former winners Bubba Pollard & Augie Grill along with local favorites, ARCA Driver Grant Enfinger, Steven Davis, DJ VanderLey and Thomas Praytor. “It’s an honor for me to have a driver that I’ve banged fenders with for the last 15 years to want to come to Mobile and race,” said Rick Crawford Manager/Promoter of Mobile International Speedway. “It also speaks to the caliber of competition we have here on the Gulf Coast. We’ll have teams from as far west as Oklahoma & Texas and all the way up into the Carolina’s that will make the trip to Mobile for the Miller Lite 100.”
