Aitcheson, and four other teens, broke into his dad's home to rob him, put a plastic bag over his head, put a pillow over his face, and stabbed him in the abdomen with a kitchen knife, perforating his liver. Then they poured gasoline over the body and throughout the mobile home and set them on fire.
Testimony during trial showed Ian Aitcheson was involved in a gang and that Robert Aitcheson's murder may have been part of a gang initiation for one of the co-defendants. The Sheriff's Office says the five teens ended up stealing $36
Aitcheson was sentenced to life imprisonment for each conviction.
