11 Year Old Dies In Front Of Friends At School

A tragic story out of Baldwin County where the coroner is trying to determine what caused the death of an 11-year old boy.

William Coty was playing with classmates at Saint Patrick's school in Robertsdale on Wednesday when he collapsed and died.

Sources tell News 5 Coty and his classmates were playing on inflatable slides and bouncers at an end of the school year party when the accident happened.

Saint Patrick's Catholic School would not talk on camera, but they released this statement to News 5. "A student passed away unexpectedly yesterday during an after school activity. His death is of undetermined causes. We thank you for respecting the privacy of the family at this time."

Because of the accident, Baldwin County school Superintendent Dr. Alan Lee has banned all inflatables at end of the school year parties.
