Drunk Driver 'Hits' Mobile Police Officer

Police say Michael Cramer was under the influence of alcohol when he blew through a detour and clipped an officer, hitting his gun holster.

A Mobile man is accused of hitting a Mobile police officer while driving drunk.

An officer was diverting traffic from Hillcrest onto Nevius Road. About 12:30 a.m., police say Michael Cramer drover through the detour, continuing north on Hillcrest. As he drove past the officer, police say Cramer's Toyota Tundra struck the officer's gun holster. The officer was not hurt.

Police cay Cramer was driving under the influence of alcohol. He was booked into Metro Jail on DUI charges. he has since been released.
